Week 1
My name is Sara. I graduated in June, but I haven’t taken the NCLEX yet. I was having trouble with what to study and how to apply it. This class has structure, and accountability and I believe this will make me successful!!!! I find it most beneficial that we do a review the next class on the material we learned. This let me know if I retained it or maybe I missed something.
Week 3
It has been hard to adhere to a set study time, but I have been very vocal about the need for more time to study with my family. I know I need to do more than the minimum 50 questions each day and started last night! I will keep that going. I will be finishing the med surg videos this weekend.
How I’m addressing my weakness/gaps is by making flash cards and watching your videos and taking notes (I need to do more questions in these areas). It is important for me to watch the videos on PasswithPass followed by doing practice questions. Those PasswithPass videos are AMAZING I wish everybody would watch them.
Week 4
What I have been doing better since the first week, I recognized is that I needed to be more vocal about needing more time to study. I have asked my mother in law to watch the baby until I take my test and this will create SO much time during the day to study. I have been excited to do the questions and trying to slow down and read the question slower and make sure I understand what they are asking.
omg if you asked me to take the test tomorrow, I would probably tell you no and I’ll keep my date. lol I would like to see my test scores go up and really tackle my areas or weakness. I’m scared but excited about taking it.
Week 5
I have gained more confidence than when I started.
This course has helped me better understand the material. I am doing better breaking down the questions. I LOVE the PasswithPass videos and miss Jane. I thought the study session on Wednesday was super helpful, just doing questions while making notes for flash cards. You have been so awesome. You’re always so patient and keep pushing us to do more.
Week 6
I’m going to pass because I have put in the time, participated in class, and listened to what you said. Practice questions, read books, watch videos. I’ve come in with very little sleep and somehow made me excited/awake/alert in class. You have made passing the NCLEX possible. I wish all the students would just put in the time but you can’t make them. Even if I don’t pass I feel like I have a great foundation to continue to study(but I know I’m going to pass).
After passing
Sara passed the NCLEX with a minimum of 85 questions. She explained that it felt like the test was easy after taking the class. Her anxiety kept her anxious about her very first and last attempt. After taking the course, the repetition of information and application doing practice questions, she is now a nurse. Congratulations on passing the NCLEX Sara RN! You worked very hard over the last 6 weeks and still managed a family with some other obstacles. I am thankful to you and every student that chooses to work hard and succeed. I am very proud of you.
