Week 1

The first time I took the NCLEX they rushed us to take it. Told us we don’t need any kind of outside source, which was a huge lie. After failing the 1st time, I took 6 months to study using Archer, Kaplan, simple nursing, and many others. That test affected me the most and I actually took 2 breaks and teared up in the bathroom because everything I focused on was not even asked, such as Cushing’s, diabetes etc.. I had 34 Select all that apply and 27 medication questions on that test. Third try I was calm and relaxed, but the new NCLEX that was supposed to have only a few case studies and stuff OMG constant reading and bow ties were like 1/2 the test. Again, like test 2 went to the very last question with only minutes to spare.

This class will keep me motivated and persistent because it pushes me and I know how my anxiety gets so if I don’t do the work it will beat me up for days that feeling. Honestly, being in this class and getting this one on one help. I really feel after 2 days I’m in the right place. I need the all-over teaching again and I hate the calling on us, but love it too because I have to stay engaged!!

Week 2

My thoughts on week 2 go as follows, I feel more confident about taking the NCLEX than I did last week. I am loving this class and even though this week’s subjects are harder than last week’s I understand better with your explanations in the lecture. My test scores this week have not improved from last week, but the rationales make me feel like, oh that makes more sense than what I chose, or geez how did I choose that after seeing why. Plus, I need to work on my questions after the lectures it’s just hard because I feel so brain-tired after haha. I love this extra help and definitely know I am in the right spot to achieve my goal of passing:)

Week 4

Do I think the NCLEX is achievable, I want to be positive and say Yes. I know more than I did 4 weeks ago and definitely more than I learned in Nursing school. The past week though I have been getting lower scores and it’s affecting me mentally. Making me question if I have what it takes. I need to make better notes and organize the ones I have from the lectures.

I have been consistent in doing questions and this time really reading out the rationales. Something I didn’t do in the past, I mean I would look at the rationales but never really looked at them if that makes sense. My biggest obstacle right now is doubting myself with answering the questions. I will get stuck between 2 answers and somehow find a way to talk myself out of it and of course I would have been right, ughhhh. I just need to up my questions and hit the answer and hit next right away. Practice Practice Practice more questions and really understand why I got it wrong. All in all I feel like I am on the right track and so happy I chose this course to help me:)

Week 6

What have I learned from day 1 till now? Everything became so clear to me. When we first started I felt like, ‘how can I work bedside, I have no clue what to do.’ Now, I’m like heck yeah I can totally work bedside and keep my patient alive. The way Nick ‘dummies down’ all the body systems and how blood flows through and how they all connect in some way or another finally clicks. This review for the past 6 weeks has been literally mind-blowing, in the sense that I get what my instructors were trying to teach us. The school taught us to pass their tests and Nick is here for us to pass the NCLEX and become a nurse.

Other programs didn’t keep me engaged enough to want to learn or even to be able to learn for it to stick, 100s of dollars wasted. I believe this time I will pass the NCLEX!!! My scores on the Uworld have improved and I understand why I got them wrong and what not to choose again. This program with Nick has been a blessing for sure. Nick has proved over and over again that he isn’t doing this for the money or the clout, but for us to all pass and be proud of ourselves. He is 100% dedicated to helping others. He will be for sure the first name I will tell others to contact for help with their NCLEX.

After passing the NCLEX

The 6 weeks of taking the CodeBreaker NCLEX course was the best decision and definitely an investment towards my future. I learned more in the 6 weeks than I did in two years of nursing school. I know it sounds ridiculous to say that, but it’s 100% true. My school taught us to pass each test they provided and not the test that matters the most, the NCLEX. Nick literally made us understand the material before moving on to the next teaching. He was available every day if needed, and every day he would send us encouragement in texts. He offered 2 hours twice a week for free to go over questions. In some of the 2-hour sessions we only got through a few questions because he wanted us to understand why that was the answer and not the other choices. I took the NCLEX as Nick requested right away after the 6-week course and I passed at 85 questions. I walked out of that test center smiling from ear to ear because I knew I passed. It was the easiest test and it’s only because I finally understood what the NCLEX was asking. I finally passed on my fourth attempt and it’s 100% because of this course. I wish I would have found Nick sooner, but all that matters now is that I am an RN. Thank you Nick I truly can’t thank you enough. I will be forever grateful to you!
