Week 1
I started nursing school in January of 2019 & graduated nursing school March of 2021. In the 2-year program, we were in person for the first year & I did really well & understood all of the content & was doing amazing on all of my tests! March of 2020, the pandemic hit & we were in person for the rest of my nursing school career. This was tough. I honestly wasn’t learning like I was before.
I decided to take my first attempt at the NCLEX in the beginning of April 2021 & failed. After this attempt I took it 3 more times. During this time, I found out I was pregnant. My pregnancy was rough on me & my body for the first 2 trimesters so studying was VERY difficult, but I pushed through it. I tried every study material under the sun. I tried Mark Klimek, bought study guides & books, looked up YouTube videos, hired a tutor (wasn’t helpful at all, just wasted more money), & bought NCLEX programs online. The amount of money I have put into studying for the NCLEX is insane. Thankfully, Nick Thomas reached out to me at the beginning of September & I did 3 out of 6 of his review classes over the course of October & November. I couldn’t make the last three because of complications with my pregnancy & then I gave birth…a month early. I tried to take it 6 weeks after giving birth but that was a mistake & I knew that going into it because I hadn’t studied in almost 2 months. Nick reached out to me again & gave me some motivation & told me to do his 6-week NCLEX review. I am now 3 days into the review & I’m feeling a lot better & organized with studying. The first day, I felt even more confident! I can’t wait to improve & pass the NCLEX in March.
Week 3
Going into the third week, I am feeling more & more confident in doing practice questions & reviewing content material. My test results have stayed above the average line on UWorld which is a first in a long time! I am definitely recognizing & understand answers because of the process we do in the beginning of each class with the lab exercises & pulling different topics into it.
What ways is Nick helping me specifically?
Since I have been out of nursing school for almost a year now, he has helped with reviewing content & refreshing me on things I may have forgotten about. The repetition of each class has helped me out tremendously. I have this newfound motivation to pass this once & for all. I can thank Nick for all the words of encouragement & keeping tabs on me to do my 50 questions every day.
Week 5
We are coming up on our last week with the NCLEX review class & I have never felt more confident in myself & my study habits in a long time. When I would take the NCLEX in the past, I would be freaking out & psyching myself out 2 weeks before I would test. This time, it feels different since I do feel so prepared & I know my content. This class has helped refresh everything from Nursing school that I needed some brushing up on & some things that I needed to re-learn. Nick has helped with content & bringing in positive vibes & making us feel like the Nurses we are! I can’t wait to pass the NCLEX in 2 weeks!
Week 6
This was our last week for the NCLEX Review class & I am feeling super confident in myself & my test taking skills. When we first started, I was very rusty in content & keeping up a good study schedule. Over the course of the 6 weeks, I have seen a lot of improvement in my scores. The repetition of all of the labs, medications, & diagnoses has helped me out tremendously. Outside of the class, I have pushed myself to do 50-150 questions per day, read the sections, write down notes from the readings, rewrite the lab exercises, meds, & diagnoses multiple times. Each day, I do my UWorld & Archer questions, read over the notes that I have taken in class or from what I have taken from reading the sections & then I will “teach” it to someone in my house. The repetition & the discussions we have had during each class has made it easier for me to comprehend & really remember everything. This class has been a life saver. I wish I would’ve known about Nick’s classes & reviews sooner! I will pass my NCLEX this time & I can’t wait to get the “PASS” result.
Post Pass
3/6/22 at 4:30pm I found out that I am officially Kameryn Ward, RN!!! I never thought the day would come that I saw the words “pass” when I got my results. The last 7 weeks I have dedicated so much time & studying into this one test. This class is the real deal. I have never felt more prepared for the NCLEX until I finished this class. I owe it all to Nick for believing in me and motivating me to pass the NCLEX. He is the best teacher & truly cares about you as a student & wants to see you succeed! Thank you for everything Nick! You are THE best!
