Week 1
My name is Isata. I have failed the NCLEX 3 times and went to school in Africa and graduated in 2015, 9 years ago. I am more than ready and determined more than ever to pass my NCLEX this time.
Week 3
Week 3 of my class has been so good. I am getting so many things now and becoming more confident. I have been taking breaks during my studies reviewing my rationales when I am done making sure I understand them and being consistent in doing my questions which helps me more.
I recognized that my gaps were with diagnosis but studying them and understanding makes it much better when I am doing my questions now. And my everyday focus is to continue to learn, study and be consistent in doing all my questions.
Week 4
Studying more with intention and purpose. Reading my rationales and understanding the content is a lot but I am getting there, and I will continue to do it every day.
I am a little bit scared right now but I am confident that if I take the NCLEX tomorrow I will pass because I can see myself more prepared than the last one I took.
Week 6
It’s almost the end of the class and I feel so much more confident and learned a lot and feel much more prepared to take my exam.
My study habits and being consistent these past weeks have helped me improve so much. I still have a bit of anxiety towards the exam but now it’s different because I already know that I have improved a lot.
Honestly, I don’t think I know of anything you are doing that needs to be improved on because all the studying guides and materials we have had helped me a lot and the sessions with Mrs. Jane are great.
Thank you and Mrs. Jane for everything you do.
After passing the NCLEX
Isata has accepted a position in the hospital on the floor she has been on for some time. It’s hard to describe in words how special some people are that I am thankful to meet. Although Isata is very quiet, she is very intentional, caring, and empathetic in all her interactions. Initially she seemed meek and shy. Over time I learned that she is very reserved, calm, professional, and caring even in her interactions. I learn just as much from every class and student I work with. I am thankful for you and every student I get to meet. I am certain your patients will be very thankful for you also. Congratulations again Isata RN on passing your NCLEX. Please keep in touch and share your experiences as a new nurse.
