Bemnet RN 2024

Week 1

My name is Bem, and I graduated from nursing school in August. I have not taken the NCLEX yet, but I started studying on September 1st. I think the part of the class that has helped me most is when you ask questions of me and everyone else during lectures. I try to answer all the questions that you ask myself and it gets me thinking and helps me realize what I do and do not know.

Week 2

Honestly, I am very disappointed in myself. I am sure you can see my activity/results on Uworld and can interpret that. I do not know what has been happening, but I am not able to get done what I need to get done. There are no excuses, and I know I need to make changes immediately. I am going to start by sending you the results of my questions and any work I do at a reasonable time. These past few nights I have noticed that I am prolonging to do things and end up doing it late. Then for the zoom meeting at 6am it is causing me to be very very tired. Overall, I have a lot to change and not much time to change it. My studying is not working well but I am completely aware of it and ready to make a difference tomorrow. I will not take a day off on Sunday to help me catch up. I want to put my all into this process and I do not want to regret a single thing. I want to know that I did my very best and put everything I could into preparing. I started sleeping late which caused me to be tired in class, then it caused me to be very tired after class and ended up going back to sleep. I need to end this cycle right away so then I can have a more productive day as well as being more alert in class. Thank you so much for your constant encouragement and support. I do not want to let you down and hopefully by the time you get a chance to see this email the change will be occurring.

Week 3

I think with study habits this week, I saw a little improvement with the number of questions I am completing but I can still work on completing them earlier in the day and finishing them in one setting. I was able to watch a good amount of PasswithPass videos to aid in my learning and reviewing content. I do see my knowledge gaining in concepts that are recurring back in questions but still see a lot of need for improvement. The gaps I have recognized since starting this class are certain topics that I did not fully understand in nursing school or only learned at the time for the test and not for long term memory. I also see a big gap when it comes to questions regarding prioritization. I do my worst with those types of questions but I am actively trying to get better and learning the strategies on how to solve them. I just want to say thank you again for the constant encouragement and support you are providing. I truly am so glad I found you and this course and every day I try to do better.

Week 4

Since the 6 weeks started, I think I have been better with my testing strategy. I feel like I am getting more questions right now and getting the hang of it. I also feel like I am doing better in watching the videos, and I am seeing that improve my scores as well. My immediate thoughts if you asked me to take the NCLEX tomorrow would definitely give me some anxiety and would preferably not want to take it. I feel like I know what more I have to do to get to the point to feel somewhat ready and that I would not be able to be done tomorrow.

Week 5

Over the past 5 weeks, I have learned so incredibly much. I have gained valuable information about nursing that I will take with me after the NCLEX and will definitely be able to apply in the hospital setting. I try not to memorize anything. It us better to understand every single thing I learn to help make me become a better nurse. I have gained testing strategies and how to be smart when answering questions. I also think I have gained some confidence during this because that is something I struggle with but also something that I know is important to have to tackle this test.

This course has helped me so much in every way. The question sessions have been so valuable. It really has been helping me to practice the correct way to attempt the question and you explaining the rationales are very beneficial. The pass with the pass with videos are so great! I truly feel like I am in class because of how engaging you make the videos. I think having Miss Jane on top of the class is really nice and I am thankful for how much opportunity we have to do better with her help as well. I have never been good at test strategies and that is something I am actively trying to do better on because I know how important that is for the test. Especially when running into information that I may not be familiar with.

Overall, I know you are doing everything you possibly can to help during this process and I can see it with all your efforts and support. I know that I need to do what I have to do on my end to pass, and to know you are helping in every possible way you can is encouraging.

Week 6

I am trying my best to stay positive and believe that I will pass. I believe I will pass the NCLEX because I have faith in God and He was with me and led me to finish nursing school so I believe He will help me pass this test as well. I worked hard up until this point, all of nursing school and all of preparation for this test has led up for me to be successful for this exam.

In the last 6 weeks, your encouragement and structure has definitely contributed to my success. The way you take your time and teach every topic with intention and with the goal for everyone to truly understand and not just to pass it and move on is very appreciative. You give so much support and help focus on the main things which is beneficial, because when I was studying for the NCLEX before the prep class I was feeling extremely overwhelmed. I truly felt like I needed to know all of it and was expecting to study forever. You were able to show me that it is not always knowing all the content but that there are other factors involved. I do feel like I need another week or two to review certain topics and take multiple practice tests to solidify my learning so I can feel that confidence before the exam. I know what I need to do in that time, I just have to implement. There were definitely days during these 6 weeks that were less productive than most so I feel like I need some time to make up for it. I think this course was designed amazingly.

Bemnet passed the NCLEX

Bem had 85 questions on her NCLEX and crushed it to become a nurse. She is applying to different residency programs in California where I am certain she will give great patient care and be an asset to the team she works with. Congratulations Bem RN!!! You did it. I never had a doubt.
